Today I Am Thankful For: Day 19

Today I am thankful for the fact that I get to be a mom. It was exactly 7 years ago today that Kenley Paige came into this world. We couldn't have ever imagined how much joy she (and Kason) would bring to our lives. Being a mom is the most rewarding job in the world! Happy 7th birthday, Kenley!

 

 

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 18

Today I am thankful for great neighbors. I think Justin and I both agree that the only thing we miss about our old house is our old neighbors, Joe and Jan. Yesterday was Jan's birthday so today we stopped by their house after church to visit for a bit and take Jan a birthday card. It was a really nice visit! We have been lucky that our new neighbors are great, too! Kenley and Kason both love the little girl who lives across the street, Payton, and we love her parents! In fact, we love all of the neighbors that live all around us. We couldn't be luckier in that regard!

 

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 17

 

 

Today I am thankful for all of our friends and family who came to Kenley's 7th birthday party! We had it at The Canvas on Broadway and it was so much fun. The kids all enjoyed the party and went home with excellent paintings! After the party we had two girls, Cydney & Emma, spend the night. That was super fun also! Thank you to everyone for making Kenley's birthday party so special!!

 

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 16

Today I am thankful for days off work! Kenley's birthday party is tomorrow and I have a million things to do to get ready for it. I still haven't gotten her a gift yet and need to get the party supplies. I bet you can't guess what my plans are for the day??

 

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 15

Today I am thankful for photographers! We had our annual fall photos taken last Saturday and she uploaded some of them to her website last night. The one above is one of my favorites, but there are many! She'll be adding a bunch more to the album in the next couple of days, too, which will make it even harder to choose favorites! Today I Am Thankful For: Day 14

Today I am thankful for my wonderful mother and father in law. Not only are the fabulous grandparents, they are fabulous people in general! I couldn't be happy to be a part of the Conyers family. Thank you Mike & Sherri for being so awesome! Love you both!

 

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 13

 Today I am thankful for my job. Although I hate it sometimes and would always much rather be at home in bed or with my family, I love my job. The thing I love the most about my job is the people I work for and with. I have great coworkers who I truely consider friends for life. I can't imagine working with anyone else at this point. I know that in this rough time in the economy I am lucky to have a job at all, so it's totally a bonus that I actually like it!

 

 

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 12

Today I am thankful for my health and the health of my family. I have so many friends who are going through really rough health patches right now and I can only hope and pray that we never have to endure some of the heartache that they have/are. I couldn't be more thankful that my family remains healthy this year and always.

 

 

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 11

Today I am thankful for a night out! I love my kids more than anything in the world, but I really needed a night out with my husband and friends. We have an awesome group of friends who we love to spend time with. There is always a good time had when we get together! We had a fabulous evening out last night and hope to do it again soon!

Today I am thankful for my momma. I have the best momma ever who would do anything and everything for me and the whole family. She's the one who holds our family together in many ways. My husband makes fun of me because I talk to her every single day, sometimes several times a day, but I don't care. Even though she's my momma, she also one of my best friends! I look forward to our daily chats and I'm not ashamed to admit that I am still a mommas girl! I love you the most, momma.....no call backs :) 

 

 

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 9

Today I am thankful for this sweet little boy! Kason really did complete our family when he joined it. He is the sweetest, most ornery, loving, funny little guy. I love that he loves to snuggle and is still at mommas boy right now. He begs me to lay in his bed and snuggle him and tells me over and over again that he loves me. Today I Am Thankful For: Day 8

 

Today I am thankful for this sassy little lady! It was almost exactly 7 years ago that I first became a mom. I never could have imagined how much love I could feel for someone the very first second meeting them, but that's exactly what happened. Kenley has taught me so many things in her 7 years, the biggest one being patience :). She's smart, caring, goofy, energetic, opinionated, sensitive & sassy.....oh, she's sassy! I cannot imagine what my life would be like if she wasn't in it. I am thankful today, and every day, that God gave her to me!

Today I am thankful for the right to vote! I'm thankful to live in a country where we have the right to choose. I voted this morning....if you haven't voted yet, do it!!

Today I am thankful for my wonderful husband. I'm thankful that I met him when I was 13. I'm thankful for the 8 years of marriage that we have had so far. I'm thankful for the ups and downs along the way because they have made our relationship stronger. I'm thankful for the two wonderful children we have made together. I'm thankful for the wonderful memories we've created so far, and the ones still to come. I'm thankful that I married a great man who works so hard for our family. I'm thankful that that I found my soul mate at such a young age. I'm thankful that I get to be married to my best friend! I love you, Justin!

 

 

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 4

Today I am thankful for our church, The Crossing. We started going to church almost a year ago and I am so happy we did. It's helped all of us in so many ways already! The kids are learning things about the Bible and Jesus and I can really tell that they are both absorbing the things they are learning. I hope they grow up having a great relationship with God.

 

 

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 3

Today I am thankful for weekends. This day couldn't have come at a better time. We needed the day to relax and not be running around like crazy. Typical weekends in our house consist of us watching movies, reading books, laughing, doing laundry, cleaning, etc. It really doesn't matter what we are doing though, as long as we are spending the day together!

 

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 2

Today I am thankful for energy drinks! Some days they are the only thing that keep me going and today is one of those days! The week of late nights has caught up to all of us in the Conyers house. So glad tomorrow is the weekend and maybe, just maybe, the kids will sleep in a little :)

 

 

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 1

Today I am thankful for the roof over my head, the food I eat, the clothes I wear, the electricity I have, etc. After "Sandy" ripped through the east coast there are thousands of people without the things above. So many were effected by this storm and I am truly grateful that no one I care about is dealing with devastation personally. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is.

Today I am thankful for all of the lessons that I have learned about life and where they have lead me today. I know there are most lessons to be learned; however, I will live and learn!
