I can't believe my baby boy is 3 months old already (yesterday). Where has the time gone? He's finally realized that he has hands, and often tries to suck on them. It's pretty funny to watch! He is smiling all the time now and has even started to giggle a little bit. He batting at his toys now and is really starting to notice the whole world around him. He's also started to get a little meat on his bones! I don't know how much he weighs, but look at those chubby cheeks!! 3 months is a fun age!! PS: Sorry about the crappy picture. I was really sick last night and home alone with the kids. It wasn't until I was getting ready to put him to bed that I realized I hadn't taken a picture yet. 10 on Tuesday
1. My baby boy is going to be 3 months old tomorrow. How on earth is that possible?
2. Kenley is on a trip to a dairy farm today with her preschool. She was so excited to go and said that she was going to milk a cow.....we'll see if she actually does!
3. I'm looking forward to this weekend. Dinner at HuHot for Dale's birthday on Friday night and then I have a baby shower for my friend Micah on Saturday.
4. Speaking of Micah...I love the name she chose for her baby girl.....Lyla Jane!
5. Last Thursday Kenley was in the 'baby' contest at the Boone County Fair. She got 4th place. This was a bit of a disappointment considering she got first last year, but oh well, it's just for fun anyway.
6. I was sick last week. I wasn't feeling well for a couple of days. I was feeling very nauseous and had a horrible stomach ache. I left work early on Wednesday and went home to sleep. That helped. Then Justin came down with the same thing .
7. We had a great weekend. We went to our friends, Melissa, 30th birthday party on Saturday night. We had a great time!
8. Work has been crazy busy and it's only going to get worse. I have 2 really busy times of the year....right before each semester starts. About 1 month before each semester I am running around like a mad woman!
9. I am going to be moving to my new office in September. When I started this job my whole area has just moved to a temporary office space with cubicles while the offices were being renovated. It's been almost 2 years and they are almost done. I'm going to have my very own, NEW office very soon. I'm so excited.
10. Kenley has her 2nd dentist appointment on Friday. I hope she's as good this time as she was the first time!

"Mommy, can you snuggle me? It's my favorite thing to do"!
Kenley has just started waking up at night to go to the bathroom. She'll never just wake up and go to by herself, she always wakes me up to help her. A couple nights ago she woke up and came into my bedroom as usual. We went into her bathroom so I could help her on the potty. I normally always tuck her back into her bed, then go back to my bed, but on this night she said "Mommy, can you snuggle me? It's my favorite thing to do"! Whoa, talk about melt my heart....how could I say no to that? We went into her room, where I tucked her in and then we snuggled! I slept in her bed for about an hour before I woke up and went back to my bed. It's times like this that make me want to have 10 kids!! I LOVE being a mom!

Float Trip 2009

I can't believe we've been doing this for 10 years now!! We had a wonderful time on our float trip this year. It was absolutely perfect camping weather, although not so ideal for floating. The day was about 70 degrees and VERY cloudy. I'm not even sure we saw the sun all day. It was breezy and cool. We didn't spend much time in the water at all, which is not normal for us. This year we did a float that we had never been on. It was 11 miles....we're used to a 6 or 8 mile float, so this was MUCH longer than we're used to. It would have been fine if it would have been nice and hot out. Oh well....we still had a great time and made the best of it!

10 on Tuesday
1. RIP Zoe...my sister's dog, Zoe, was hit and killed by a car on Saturday. She was a great dog and just happened to be the momma to one of my boys! I know it's really hard to lose an animal tragically....we will miss her!
2. It's raining cats and dogs outside right now. I hate the rain.
3. We enjoyed visiting with our friends, Eric & Melissa, and their kids, Ethan & Addison, on Sunday. We haven't been them for a couple of months. Ethan and Addison are as cute as can be!
4.We also enjoyed hanging out with Chris and Richelle this weekend. We saw them on Friday night and on Sunday! That's more in one weekend than we've seen them in the last couple of months!
5. Float trip this weekend!!!!!
6. Kenley's head is healing nicely, in case you wondered! The glue did the job and the wound is healing up great!
7. Yesterday was Kenley's first day back to school since July 1st. I thought she was going to be really excited to go, but nope....not so much. There were tears and a big pouty lip. She didn't want me to leave. Finally I got out of the door as she waved goodbye with big crocodile tears in her eyes. :(
8. Kason got up at 5:30 this morning. I fed him a bottle and enjoyed snuggling him before I got ready for work. I hate that I have to leave Kason and Kenley everyday. I SO wish I could win the lottery and stay home!
9. Started a new workout program yesterday. Tony Horton's 10 Minute Trainer. Who knew that a 10 minute workout could be so tough? I'm pretty sore today, but that's ok. Sore is good!
10. Kason is getting so big! He's really coming into his personality now too! It's so much fun watching him grow and discover things. If I won the lottery, I'd have an entire house full of kids! I love being a mommy!!

My sweet, sweet girl!
Today Justin was gone all day for a 7 on 7 football camp. Kenley, Kason, and I were just hanging out at home watching some tv. I was watching the movie "Flicka" on tv in the living room while Kenley was playing in her bedroom. I'd never seen this movie before, but I liked what I had watched so far. I called Kenley in to eat lunch. Anyone who knows Kenley, knows that she LOVES horses, so she was really getting into the movie while she was eating. The horse, Flicka, was attacked by a lion and they thought she was dead. Kenley saw this and started crying, bawling, about it. She kept asking me why the horse was dead....why did the lion attack her.....why did she die? She cried and cried, even ran to her room and threw her head on her bed while she cried. I tried to hold back my own tears from the movie and explain that it was only a movie and that it didn't really happen, but I don't think she totally understood. I was half crying myself and half trying to hold back my laughter from seeing her so upset about it. Thankfully, Flicka did not die, but she did get injured. Kenley was happy once she realized this. My sweet, sweet girl was so worried about Flicka :) This was the first time I had ever seen her so upset about a movie.

A Kenley funny.....
Last Thursday when we had to take Kenley to the ER I was sitting on the hospital bed with her. She wasn't crying, but was a little cranky. I forget exactly what was said, but she looked at me totally serious and said "whatever"!! The look on her face was so serious and funny that Justin and I looked at each other and started laughing. Then Kenley looked at me again and said "what's so funny?, cat got your tongue?"? I seriously lost it. I was laughing so hard I was crying. I don't have a clue where she gets this stuff! Never a dull day with Little Miss Thing around :)

10 on Tuesday
1. It's only Tuesday?
2. We had such a nice weekend that it was really hard to come back to work yesterday. Oh well.
3. Kason has been consistently sleeping through the night for a couple weeks now. It's great that he'll go sleep about 9:30 or 10 and doesn't wake up until around 6. I'll take it!!
4. Kason will be 10 weeks old tomorrow. How is that possible???
5. Kenley and Kason spent the night with Grandma Linda on Sunday night. Grandma has the week off and wanted to spend a little time with the kids. Justin and I went to Jason and Allyson's house for dinner and then went to Sonic to get ice cream. It was really nice!
6. We had a really nice visit with my friend, Kim, and her boyfriend, Jason a couple weeks ago. I haven't seen Kim in several months and this was my first time meeting Jason. Justin and I both loved him and as always, it was great to catch up with Kim!
7. We also just found out that our friends Travis and Robbin are expecting their second child in January. We are SO excited for them!!
8. I just mailed out Kason's birth announcements yesterday. They turned out SO great. I love them so much!
9. We are still looking forward to our float trip in 2 weeks. Only thing is that I am NOT looking forward to getting into a swimsuit.
10. I ordered a new workout program called the 10 Minute Trainer last week. I'm excited for it to get here so that I can get my butt in shape. The videos are only 10 minutes each, so I know I can come up with some time to work out. I'll even do more than 1 video a day. I only have 2 months until Jason and Allyson's wedding and I want to look great!

Happy 4th of July!!!
We had a great 4th of July. We started the weekend with a trip to my sister's house in Hallsville on Friday night. My parents and sister threw a big party with one of the best home fireworks shows we've ever seen! I missed the last half because Kason was trying to go to sleep and he obviously couldn't with all of the explosions, but we had a great time there! Next we went to Mike and Sherri's on Saturday night for another BBQ and fun. We sat around and talked, shot off some small fireworks for Kenley and then watched a show down the street. It wasn't that great, but oh well. Here are some pictures from the 4th!

Another trip to the Emergency Room.....
Kenley was downstairs 'working out' with Justin last night while I was upstairs giving Kason a bottle. I heard a loud 'thud' from downstairs, followed by Kenley screaming. Kenley has a little couch thing that folds out into a little bed and was playing on it. It appears that the couch was sitting next to the brick fireplace and when she flung back to lay down on the couch, she hit her head right on the corner of the brick.
There was lots of blood and LOTS of tears. We got her into the bathtub to check out the damage...we had to rinse all of the blood out before we could see the gash. It was an approx 3/4 inch gash. Not too big, but it was deep. We could see that. After contemplating whether or not to take her to the ER, we decided that we needed to go. It wasn't close to stopping bleeding.
Kenley was a champ. She didn't cry hardly at all when we got to the hospital...only when the doctor came in. He was able to use Dermabond (aka: glue) to close the wound. Thankfully we didn't have to shave anything on her head in order to do this. Here's a picture of the damage!

10 on Tuesday
1. As you can see, we had a wonderful float trip!
2. On Friday night, we went to the couples shower for our best friends Jason and Allyson. We had the best time!! Most of our friends were there and we all just hung out and chatted. It was fun playing the "how well do you know Jason and Allyson" game and watching them open their gifts!
3. I'm not feeling well today. I woke up with a stomach ache and it's just gotten worse throughout the day. I have a headache and hot flashes/chills, on top of the upset tummy. No clue what's wrong with me. I hope it goes away soon.
4. I hate the rain and once again....it's a rainy day!
5. This Saturday we are going to a friends 30th birthday party. This is a kid less party, so they kids will be staying for the first time with Grandpa Mike and Grandma Sherri. I should say that this is NOT Kenley's first overnight trip, but it will be Kason's. I'm looking forward to sleeping in on Sunday!
6. Work has been crazy busy since I went back. This is coming up on one of my busiest times of the year. I love it that the days go by so quickly when I'm super busy!

10. My friend, Micah, has chosen a name for her baby girl. Ayla Jane. I think it's adorable and can't wait to meet little miss Ayla! I'm also looking forward to seeing Micah at her baby shower on August 1st!
