What is 10 on Tuesday you ask....10 (give or take) of my random thoughts every Tuesday. Some may be important and some may be just completely random thoughts. So here goes.....
1. We finally have a name for our SON!!! That's right, 'the boy' will be known as Kason David Conyers from now on!! Justin and I had a hard time deciding on a name, but it was almost always between Kason and Kaden. We finally made the decision and are very happy with it. Kason is a Greek name and means 'pure'. Justin's Grandma Joanna is full blooded Greek which makes this an even better choice for us. David is Justin's middle name and a family name on his side (his dads middle name, grandpas first name, etc). We always planned on carrying on that tradition if we had a boy, so it was a given. So, do you likey???!!!
2. We didn't chose the name Kason just because of the 'K'. We get asked that a lot. We were open to any other names, but we both tend to like the sound of the "KK" together with our last name. Kenley Conyers and Kason Conyers.
3. I'm ready to get started on the Kason's nursery NOW! Since we moved Kenley out of the nursery and into a big girl room, it's become the room of junk! I need to find the time and energy to get started going through everything that is in there and start finding new places for all of it. It seems like such a large task though. After the room is a little cleared out, we can start painting and getting things ready for Kason.
4. Congratulations to our best friends Jason and Allyson. They got engaged on Christmas morning and will be married sometime in September. Justin and I couldn't be happier for the 2 of them......and it's about time :) This brings me to #5...
5. I'm scared about being in a wedding only 4 months after giving birth. I hope like hell that I am not a cow like I was the first time around and that I am able to drop the weight fairly quickly. I guess I'll be working out like crazy and investing in a good pair of 'spanx' to keep everything tucked in! LOL!
6. My house is overrun with toys and I see no end in sight. I think we need to buy a bigger house just to have a place for all the toys! Kenley has every toy you could ever imagine and plays with almost everything. I'm just waiting until Kason starts playing with toys....we'll really be in trouble then.
7. Is it Friday yet?
8. I shouldn't have eaten that VERY yummy bagel from Panera because I am not hungry for my lunch now. I guess I'll have to wait and eat later than normal.
9. I'm looking forward to 2009. I'm excited to meet my son and can't wait to hold him in my arms. I'm excited, but nervous too, about how Kenley will react to a new baby in our house. I 'think' it will be OK, but I know that we are going to have some major jealousy issues for a while. She won't be happy when she has to share all of mommy's attention!
10. I didn't think it would be this hard to come up with 10 random thoughts. It took me a little while to complete this, but there you go!!

The first night in the BIG GIRL BED!
Giving Tyson hugs before going to bed!
An overview of the night: It took about 45 minutes and SEVERAL trips into the room before Kenley fell asleep. Some of the things I heard were: "this bed is too big", "I want you to snuggle me", "I need the colorful thing that goes around and around up there" (meaning the ceiling fan that we haven't changed out yet from her old room), "It's scary in here", etc. It was pretty funny actually, but tiring for me to keep going in and out every couple of minutes for so long. Finally, she was out like a light.
Above is right before I went to bed, below is this morning before she woke up.
She slept great until about 4:00am when she woke up and did not want to go back to sleep. I laid with her for a little while and got her back to sleep. I snuck out of her bed and went back to my bed thinking she was asleep. Next thing I know she was at the side of my bed. Back to the big girl bed we went! I laid with her once again until she fell asleep and again, snuck out once she was out. She woke up again not long after and wasn't going back to sleep. After several trips back and forth from her room to mine, I told Justin to see if he could get her to sleep. I'd be awake for about 2 hours by this time and I was tired!! Justin laid in bed with her and they both fell fast asleep. He said that he slept in her bed for about an hour or hour and a half and then came back to our bed. Justin and I woke up again about 8:30, but Kenley slept until just after 9 when I went into her room to wake her up. She was proud of herself for sleeping in her big girl room, but not as proud as mommy and daddy were!

I'm pretty sure it's time for ballet lessons!
A typical day at our house involves Kenley wanting to dress up in a ballerina or princess outfit and her plastic high heels. She'll wear whichever one all day long if I let her, even for her nap. She's as girly as they get, seriously!
So last weekend she dressed up as a ballerina and wanted to watch the Barbie Nutcracker movie. I was doing laundry and a little housecleaning, so I didn't care. I had to take a break and video tape her trying to dance exactly like Barbie was. It was too cute!! Don't mind the house though, it was a pretty lazy day overall and the living room was still kind of messy from dragging out all of the christmas stuff.

Happy 3rd birthday, Kenley!!!
OK, so I'm a little late on this. I'm trying to get caught up here and include all of the things I want to post about. November was a busy month for us, so cut me some slack :)
We celebrated Kenley's 3rd birthday on November 19th. I can't believe my 'baby' is 3 years old already! I knew that the time would fly by, but honestly did not know it would go by so quickly. We started by taking cupcakes to preschool and they had a little party for her there. She got a cute little necklace and a set of 3 mini nail polishes from the teachers at school. From there we went to McDonald's to have ice cream (and open a couple presents from Kylie and Grandma Linda and Grandpa Dale) and grab a happy meal, one of Kenley's favorite things for dinner! Went home and had a small cake and Kenley opened a couple of small presents from mommy and daddy and one from grandma Sherri and Grandpa Mike. Mommy and Daddy are getting Kenley a brand new 'big girl' room complete with new furniture for her big gift. It's still in the works right now, thanks to broken pieced when the bed arrived, but pictures will come when it's complete!

Opening a few of the MANY presents! This is when my camera battery died!
Mommy and Kenley before everyone sang happy birthday! Kenley just smiled and loved every minute of being the center of attention!

We celebrated again on November 22nd when we had all of Kenley's friends and family over for a birthday party!! Of course, Kenley wanted to have a 'Princess Party', so that's what we did! I'm kicking myself because I didn't take very many pictures at the party. My camera battery went dead because I forgot to put it on the charger the night before. Here are a few good ones that I got!

Cake made by Tammy! Thank you Tammy for the beautiful and great tasting cake!

We had another ultrasound on November 18th to check the position of my placenta. The good news is that the placenta moved away from the cervix and that I no longer have a condition called 'placenta previa'. That means no more pelvic rest too!!
It's a little puppy that plays music, a mini football (of course that was Justin's favorite thing) and this adorable little outfit! Thank you Mike and Sherri for the gift!
While we were having the ultrasound, I asked the technician to take a peak and see if she could tell the sex of the baby. She said "buy blue"! Justin and I both had tears in our eyes at that moment. I could tell how excited he was to finally have the son that he's always wanted. Life with one of each is going to be so much fun! So much different too! I have a lot to learn about boys!!! Here's a picture of the very first 'blue' stuff we have. Justin's parents brought over a little gift for us the day after we found out.

My beautiful little princess!

Kenley wanted to be a princess for Halloween! This is the ONLY thing she wanted to dress up as. What a beautiful princess she makes!! She loved the dress and the pink ballet shoes. Even more, she loved the tiara or 'princess crown' as she calls it. Here are a couple of full body shots.

We also enjoyed a Halloween party at her preschool on Friday. I took some time off work so that I could join the fun. Here are a couple of photos of the party!
The whole group. I guess this is as good as it gets when you have 20 preschoolers trying to take one picture!
Here's Kenley's lovely mask!

12 week checkup (a week late)
I went to the doctor on October 22nd for an ultrasound and doctor appointment. The ultrasound went well and we were able to get a few pictures of our little baby, but I haven't hooked my scanner up to the new computer yet, so I can't add these right now! The baby measured exactly to my May 8th due date and everything looked wonderful. He/she was very active in there....it's crazy to see that baby moving around, but not be able to feel it yet. There was a very healthy heart rate of 173 beats per minute.
On the flip side, we got some not so great news too. They found a cyst on my right ovary the size of a ping pong ball and I was also diagnosed with placenta previa. I'll start with the cyst: Dr. Womack said that it is nothing at all to be worried about. It was most likely there before I was pregnant and it disappear after I have this baby. I asked several questions about this because of my sister's history with cyst's. The doctor reassured me that this isn't something to worry about right now.
Placenta previa is a condition where the placenta is more or less laying on top of the opening to the cervix. It's supposed to be attached much higher on the uterine wall. Dr. Womack says that most of the time the placenta will move up away from the cervix as the uterus grows, but that doesn't always happen. If it doesn't, I'll have a c-section for sure because there is no way to deliver the baby since the placenta is blocking the cervix. I go back on November 18th to have another ultrasound to check the position and see if it's still in the same spot.
There are lots of complications that come along with this condition. Because of the position of the placenta, it's very sensitive. The placenta can tear away from the cervix very easily, causing bleeding or miscarriage. I've been put on 'pelvic rest' at least until the next ultrasound, but it's potentially for the rest of my pregnancy. Pelvis rest means no sex, no heavy lifting, or anything else strenuous. The first sign of bleeding will result in bed rest. Let's hope and pray that does not happen.
That's all for now. Let's hope the next appointment brings better news!

Tyson's surgery
Many of you know that my boxer, Tyson, had surgery last week to have a tumor removed from his leg. He came through the surgery just fine and it is healing up very nicely. He has 5 stitches now, right on his front 'knee'. He'll go back on Saturday morning to have the stitches removed. Surprisingly, they haven't bothered him much at all though. I can tell that they are starting to get a little itchy, but he pretty much leaves them alone. Now, if we could only get Tito to stop scratching on his face so hard that it bleeds :)

Thank you, Amanda!!!
My friend Amanda "pimped my blog". Before it was just green and really boring. She made the awesome new banner and background to make it totally 'me'! There is NO WAY i could have done that myself. I wouldn't even have known how to start something that cool!
Thank you again, Amanda! I really appreciate your time working on this for me!!!!

Last month's trip to the zoo!
What a trip it was! Kenley and I went with my mom, both of my sisters, niece Kylie, & friends Debbie and Madison. We had all planned to ride together in the borrowed Navigator, but realized that we couldn't all fit. So 2 cars it was. Kenley and I rode with Debbie, mom and all the little girls, while Christy and Missy rode together and followed us.
It's a 2 hour ride to the St. Louis Zoo, but the ride started out great. The girls were having fun playing with each other and watching movies on the DVD player. When we were almost to the exit for the zoo, Kenley starts complaining that she needs to go potty, her belly hurts, etc. I kept telling her to just hold it for a few more minutes, we'll be there soon. All of a sudden, she starts throwing up all over herself and her car seat. I'm trying to keep the mess off of her because I only brought an extra pair of pants for her. I didn't pack a shirt....not sure why! We had to pull over as fast as we could and pull her out of the car. Luckily (and I still don't know how), she managed to only puke on her jacket and blanket. Thank goodness she was wearing a jacket and it was a nice enough say to go without it! Once I was able to get her out of the jacket and clean up a bit, she was as good as new! Off to the zoo we went!
We had a wonderful day. The day could not have been any more beautiful that day. The high was 75, not a cloud in the sky. I think EVERYONE is St. Louis had the idea to go to the zoo that day as well. It was completely packed! Kenley's absolute favorite part of the day was riding the train. She liked it better than anything else!!
Here are a few pictures of the day!
The little girls... Maddie, Kenley, and Kylie
The Sea Lion Show. I've never been to one of these, I loved it! I can't believe how much they can do!
Kenley and her grandman checking out the baby giraffe.
Where are the Hippo's? This is where they normally are, but they weren't in the water today. Kenley was upset because this was one of her favorite things about the zoo last year.
This was Kenley's favorite animal of the day. She loves elephants and couldn't get enough of the baby elephant. My mom was telling the girls about the big piles of elephant poop and Kenley kept asking if elephants poop too. It was really funny, maybe you had to be there!
