Wordless Wednesday: 3 Minutes in the Life of a One Year Old!

10 on Tuesday!

1. I am loving this weather this week. The highs are in the low 80's and perfect! Too bad it's going to get crazy hot again!
2. Make that 3 molars that Kason has coming in right now. I found another one last week!
3. Justin and I are buying tickets to go to the Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube concert on July 30th. We saw Snoop back in 2004 and we're excited to see him again!
4. I can't believe that June is over. Really, how is 2010 half gone?
5. Along the same lines....Kason is 14 months old today. How is that possible? Before I know it he'll be going to college!
6. The 4th of July is this weekend. Kenley is super excited to watch the big fireworks. I wonder what Kason will think of them. They don't start until 9:30 pm, so it's past his bedtime. We'll see, I guess!
7. I am taking Kenley on a Mommy/Daughter date this weekend. We are going to see Toy Story 3. I Netflixed 1 and 2 since she'd never seen them and now she's excited to see the 3rd. I've never been to a 3D movie, at least not that I can think of, so I am excited too!
8. The float trip was a blast this past weekend. I won't say much about it though because I will make a post about it soon.
9. Speaking of the float...I now have poison ivy on my ankle.
10. Over the last few months, I have lost 25 pounds (YAY!!!). I know it's showing now because just today I had 4 people comment on my weight loss. Before today only a few people had said anything about it. I'm glad it's showing now :)
    

Wordless Wednesday

10 on Tuesday!

1. Sorry I didn't update last week. Things were crazy and I couldn't seem to find the time to get it done!
2. Happy birthday to my sister, Missy! Knowing that you are turning 27 today makes me feel really old!! I asked Kenley this morning how old she thought you were today and she said 15...lol!
3. Happy early birthday, Debbie!! I hope you have a fantastic birthday tomorrow!
4. In case you were wondering, the garage sale was a huge success! We made over $1300 total!! I made right at $450 and sold a ton of stuff! We had tons of traffic both days, but surprisingly, Friday was the better day even with the neighborhood sale on Saturday. We got a little wet both days too! We had a little notice on Friday when Justin called and said it was pouring cats and dogs where he was. We packed in what we could and covered the rest with tarps. A few things got wet, but it worked pretty well. We ended up throwing a few clothing items into my dryer and had to throw out some books, but not too bad considering the down pour!
5. After we packed up from the garage sale, the kids went home with my mom for the night. Justin and I went to a retirement party for our friend, Vicki, then went to comedy to celebrate Allyson's birthday! I won't get into all the details, but I will say that Justin and his brother got kicked out of Deja Vu for picking a fight (that they didn't start), so we went back to Shiloh and hung out there for the night. We had a great time! Happy late birthday, Allyson!!
6. Kason is cutting 2 molars!! I noticed one last week and then noticed the second one last night. That's number 10!
7. Everyone in my house, with the exception of Kenley, was sick last week with a stomach flu. Kason started throwing up on Monday night and hardly ate anything for 3.5 days. On Thursday Justin and I both started to feel crappy. We skipped dinner that night and went to bed before 9. We hardly ate a thing for a couple days and had moments of feeling better and then not so good again. My mom, step dad, sister, and both of Justin's parents were also sick! I think we're all better now though.....thank God!
8. Kenley's dance recital was so much fun. She did amazing and we loved every second of watching her. She can't stop talking about all the things she's going to learn in dance in the years to come! She loves to perform for anyone and everyone who will watch!
9. Float trip this weekend!! So excited I can't hardly wait, however, I am not excited to be in a swimsuit!
10. Hello summer! Highs in the mid 90's all week with heat indexes over 100. I'll take this weather over the cold and snow any day!

My ballerina!! The recital was perfect. Kenley was so excited to get there and perform on the big stage. She loved every minute of it! She did a fantastic job and we were so proud of her! I definitely think that dance is her 'thing'. She loves to perform and she loves the glam of the makeup, pretty costumes, and being on stage. It was the perfect way to spend our 6th wedding anniversary! I have a video that my sister took, but I can't get it to upload to my blog. You can watch the video by clicking HERE! She spotted her grandma about half way and started waving! It was so cute!! At the end of the show she was so excited that she started jumping up and down and blowing kisses. It totally brought tears to my eyes! It was the best thing to see her so happy.

She was so tired by the end of the night. She crawled up on the couch to give Daddy snuggles and ended up passing out in 2 seconds!

6 years ago today....

I married my best friend!

Wow! 6 years!! Some days it seems like 60 years (just kidding, Justin) and other days it seems like just yesterday. It's crazy to think about all that has changed in just 6 short years! Our biggest and best decisions in the past 6 years have been making our family of two become a family of four!! Kenley and Kason are our lives and we love them more than anything else in the world. I couldn't have possibly picked a better husband and father of my children. Happy Anniversary, Justin. I love you more and more with every year that passes! I know we have many more happy years to look forward to!

Wordless Wednesday

10 on Tuesday!

1. Wow! Busy week. My garage sale is on Friday and Saturday. I have been working on pricing stuff and going through closets/storage/etc trying to get everything ready. It's a lot of work. We are going to have a HUGE sale though, so I hope we have lots of traffic and make lots of money!
2. My basement looks like a tornado hit it. There is stuff everywhere! I have stuff stacked almost to the ceiling! Justin and I will both be SO happy to have all of that stuff gone!
3. We had a wonderful weekend. Our friends, Travis and Robbin, came down to visit us! It was the first time we met their new little guy, Tate, who is 5 months old. He was the sweetest thing! Kenley and Ali had a great time playing and enjoyed each other all weekend. I don't think I heard any fighting or arguing out of them at all! Thanks for visiting guys! We really missed you all!
4. I bought a little hard plastic kiddie pool from walmart on Saturday. The kids loved it and thought it was the greatest thing! Even Justin got in with them....trust me, there will be pictures to come!
5. Justin has 2 football camps this week. He's basically gone most of the day, then gets to come home for a couple hours, then back to camp in the evening. He's gone before 6 and doesn't get home until after 9. It sucks.
6. I think probably everyone knows that Justin does lawn care in the summer. He used to do it back in college, but gave it up when he graduated. He started up again last year and things are going great. I forget how many he says he's doing, but I think it was close to 20. He was just able to pick up 8 more from another guy who does lawn care but is moving to Iowa! He's a busy guy!
7. Kason is running now! He just keeps getting faster and faster! You really can't turn your head for a minute!
8. Kenley had dance pictures last week. She was so excited to wear her costume and make up. She looked SO gorgeous! We're in trouble when she's older!
9. We are going on a float trip in a few weeks. We've been doing it every year since high school and it's a blast. I'm SO looking forward to a couple days away from reality!
10. I think we are getting family pictures taken this weekend. I hope it is nice out because we are overdue! I can't wait to have them taken and see how they turn out now that my little guy isn't a baby anymore!

Wordless Wednesday

10 on Tuesday

1. My baby boy is now 13 months old! Wow!! I have been getting weekly emails about his development since I was pregnant. The email went from saying 'your baby this week' to 'your toddler this week'. When did that happen?
2. We had a wonderful memorial weekend! We spent a good portion of the weekend outside....planting flowers, cleaning up around the house, playing, etc. Justin raked the mulch and got new mulch. I got the whole house cleaned and some stuff reorganized which was really nice. The kids both had a night with the grandparents and they both enjoyed that too. Justin and I were able to hang out with Jason & Allyson and Josh & Natalie. It was a much needed break from parenthood...even for just an evening.
3. My friend, Jessica, is due with her second baby today. As of right now, she has not given birth yet. I'm thinking about you, Jessica! I can't wait to hear the good news and hear what name you chose for your baby boy! I hope everything is quick and painless!
4. The garage sale stuff is coming along. I still have tons to get through, but it's getting there! I can feel the end in sight! Less than 10 days and I will have my house, and storage, back!
5. Kenley has been doing great with staying dry at night. I'd say over the last 3 weeks, she's had maybe 4 days where she woke up with a wet pull up. Even when they are wet, it's just barely. We are almost there!!
6. Kason is my garbage disposal! That kid will eat almost anything you put in front of him. It's not uncommon for him to eat an entire cheeseburger and some fries from McDonalds. Tonight he had about 4 slices of deli turkey, 1 slice of cheese, and almost an entire can on Mandarin oranges. At least I have 1 good eater!
7. Justin and I have an anniversary coming up soon. 6 years! It really doesn't seem like it was that long ago that we got married. We will be celebrating this year by watching Kenley in her first dance recital! SO excited!!
8. Justin's uncle Chris is visiting this week from Georgia! We have only seen him a couple times in the past few years, so it's always nice to catch up. He's getting to know Kenley and he thinks she pretty cool! He said he was amazed by her mature conversation ability. I am scared for her to turn 13.
9. Busy, busy work at week! BUSY, BUSY WEEK!
10. Is it the weekend yet? I really need a weekend to recoup from my long weekend!
