Today I am thankful for the fact that I get to be a mom. It was exactly 7 years ago today that Kenley Paige came into this world. We couldn't have ever imagined how much joy she (and Kason) would bring to our lives. Being a mom is the most rewarding job in the world! Happy 7th birthday, Kenley!

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 17
Today I am thankful for all of our friends and family who came to Kenley's 7th birthday party! We had it at The Canvas on Broadway and it was so much fun. The kids all enjoyed the party and went home with excellent paintings! After the party we had two girls, Cydney & Emma, spend the night. That was super fun also! Thank you to everyone for making Kenley's birthday party so special!!

Today I Am Thankful For: Day 16
Today I am thankful for days off work! Kenley's birthday party is tomorrow and I have a million things to do to get ready for it. I still haven't gotten her a gift yet and need to get the party supplies. I bet you can't guess what my plans are for the day??

10 on Tuesday!
- I know, I know. It's been a long time. I just spent quite awhile updating my blog template to something fall-ish and updating the 2 year old pictures of my and my family (if you are getting this via feeder - go my my blog to check it out)! I know I have said it a bunch, but I am really going to put forth an effort to start blogging regularly again. I know, I know.....you'll believe it when you see it. Ha! Same here :)
- Today is my brother in law, Josh's, birthday. He's 25 years old. When I met him, he was a 7 year old who got the biggest kick out of annoying his older brother. He's grown up to be a pretty cool guy though :) Happy birthday, Josh!
- This Friday is the first 'district' football game for the bruins. They have had a pretty good season, 6-3, this year. From now on it's 'one and done' meaning if they lose, their season ends. Hopefully they will win every week from now until the state championship game on black Friday! That would be the ultimate way to end Justin's 9th and final year at Rock Bridge!
- Since I'm on the subject of football....Battle High School is coming together!! The school is looking good and now the athletic turf is installed! Justin has been working REALLY hard on getting all of the weight room and football stuff ready to be purchased. We absolutely cannot wait until next year!!
- Kenley's birthday is coming up in less than 4 weeks (she's counting down) and we are busy planning her birthday party! She's having it at a place called "The Canvas On Broadway" which is a super cool place where they walk you through doing your own painting. Kenley will go there and pick out which painting she wants to do for her party! It's going to be a lot of fun!
- Kenley is in first grade this year and is doing great. At this point she is reading at almost a 2nd grade level and is doing really well in math and writing, too! It's no surprise to me that my 'book worm' is reading beyond the expected level for her age! She's enjoying school still and really likes her teacher this year. She's also been dubbed the 'computer expert' in her class....this means if anyone has questions about how to use the computer, they should ask her! She thinks that is pretty cool!
- Kason is enjoying his second year of preschool, too. He has a new buddy, Jackson, who he says is his best friend. He talks about Jackson non-stop and has been asking for Jackson to come over to our house forever! Little does he know, Jackson is coming over tomorrow evening to have that play date! He is learning a lot at preschool and I have seen him really transforming into a little boy. He is so smart and he amazes me everyday! As much as it pains me to say it....he is definitely growing up! He's not a baby anymore!
- MU homecoming is this Saturday. I wish we were able to go to the game, but it's too early for Justin to be able to go. The homecoming parade is starting at 7am this year. WTH is that all about? I haven't decided if I will take the kids or not. That is really early and it is going to be really cold. Ugh...
- Kenley is now dancing at CPAC (Columbia Performing Arts Center) instead of Columbia Dance Academy. She's been wanting to take Jazz for a while now, but it didn't work out. Once I got to researching CPAC I found out that it's cheaper for her to dance there and, in my opinion, it's a better dance school. She loves it and is doing really well!
- We could use some prayers for Justin's grandpa, Dave. He's been in the hospital and is not doing well at all. Any thoughts or prays you could spare would be nice!

Kason's 2nd Birthday Party
Since Kason is totally into Thomas the Train, it was only fitting to have a Thomas birthday party. This cake was made by our friend, Tammy, and let me tell you that it tasted as good as it looks! The chocolate cupcakes were super yummy as well!
Kason did not know what to think about everyone singing to him. He just kept looking around with with strange look on his face. He did blow out the candle though and thought that part was really fun!
Uncle Josh got him some adorable "boat shoes".

Happy 2nd Birthday, Kason David!!
How is my baby 2 already? I know I have said that a lot lately, but it's really hard to believe. It seems like just yesterday that I was freaking out about becoming a mother to two children and how would I ever love another one as much as the first. So much has changed since then, yet it seems like it was yesterday! We've got a big party planned for Sunday and I can't wait. He really "kind of" understands what is going on, so it should be fun. There will be a new post about it later! In the mean time you can read about his birth HERE and look at his adorable face over the last 2 years. Enjoy!

Happy 30th Birthday, Justin!!
Sunday, December 19th, was Justin's 30th birthday. It's hard to believe that he's 30! It's not that 30 is old, it's the perception that we used to have that 30 was old! We have talked recently about how when we were 18 years old, 30 seemed ancient. Now that we are 30 (I will be in a couple months), it seems so young! Funny how everything changes over time!
Since Justin asked me not to throw him a birthday party, we did a scaled down night out with close friends. We went to D. Rowe's for dinner and drinks, which if you have never been, you don't know what you are missing! We enjoyed cake and beer there and then went to Deja Vu for a comedy show. The show was great, we laughed a lot and had a great time! We drank a lot....well, I drank a lot. Yikes, it was a lot! We stayed at Deja Vu for a couple of hours after comedy where we danced and boogied :) The night ended with friend back at our house. Ok, ok....the night really ended with me throwing up (not cool)! Thanks everyone for coming out. We had a great time and enjoyed spending the time with you guys! Happy 30th birthday, Justin!Friday, November 19, 2010
Happy 5th Birthday, Kenley Paige!!
I know every parent must think it....how is it possible that my baby is ____ years old? Well, my baby is FIVE years old today and I really cannot believe it!
THIS could not have 5 years ago. My perfect little baby girl, 4 days old! I remember so clearly bringing her home from the hospital and sitting down on the couch with Justin thinking "what now". It seemed like the wait for her arrival was so long ago then we were blessed with her and the time has flown. I can't believe I am the mother of a 5 YEAR OLD!!
3 Months Old
