Wordless Wednesday

Sorry it's kind of shaky. Kenley kept moving around as she was talking!

10 on Tuesday

1. Finally, the room is painted! We decided to go with blue on blue and it looks GREAT! Very happy with our choice there. Pictures will come soon, when the room is a little more put together.

2. Only 73 days until my due date. It's gone by pretty fast, I must admit, but I bet it will really start to fly by now.

3. My unborn niece has a name now :) Missy, Jared, and Kylie have all decided on Olivia Ann (or Anne, I'm not sure). Can't wait to meet Miss Olivia!

4. Doctor appt today. This is my 30 week checkup and it's only been 2 weeks since my last appt. I'll see the doctor every 2 weeks for a total of 4 visits and then every week for the last 4 weeks of the pregnancy. I wonder how much weight I've gained in 2 weeks?

5. The weight gain brings me to my #5. Boy has my appetite picked up lately. I feel hungry all the time. I've been having many more carvings for sweets too, which I try not to give into.....it doesn't work!

6. Kenley has really been enjoying school recently. She is excited to go in and practically pushes me out the door now :) This makes me so incredibly happy because it is a 360 from the way things started out. It was a very rough transition for all of us.

7. Kenley is excited for her baby brother to be born. She talks about him often now and always wants to give her baby brother a kiss (aka: kiss my belly). It's so sweet and I know she will love him so much when he's here!

8. We had a slumber party over the weekend with Kenley's cousin, Kylie. The girls had a great time and were good as gold! They don't get to see each other as often as they would like, so it's always a good time when they get together! Both girls sacked out while watching a movie, which is NOT normal for either of them. They usually will both fight as hard as possible to stay up until the movie is over.

9. Plans for this weekend: Organize the nursery. It's painted but now I need to pull out everything that I have stuffed in the closet to make room for the things that I need in the closet. This should be super fun and exciting (insert sarcasm here).

10. Speaking of cravings....I think I need a CHERRY laffy taffy and I just might go get one for myself!

10 on Tuesday

1. Why isn't today Friday? It REALLY should be!

2. Valentine's Day was great for us. We went to the hospital to see our friend's new baby.....Finn is adorable and Kenley loved looking at the little tiny baby. Kenley enjoyed getting her gift from mommy and daddy and was most excited for the Tinkerbell balloon daddy got her. She enjoyed opening her box of gifts too. I'm going to include the cute video for #3 and maybe a picture on #4. Justin and I had a nice dinner at Longhorn (despite a super long wait), but decided to go home and skip the movie. We went home and got on our pajamas, built a fire, and then watched a movie we had from Netflix. It was perfect!
3.

4. Sorry, it's kind of dark, but I think it's so cute!

5. Also went bowling on Sunday for moms birthday. I bowled 2 games, a 114 my first game and an 86 my second game. It was totally inconsistent for me. I'd get a strike a couple times in a row and then I'd gutter ball one. Kenley really surprised me as well. They had a nice contraption to help the little kids bowl. You just set the ball on it and push it off. Kenley carried her 6 pound ball over and over again and set it on the thing. She had a blast and actually bowled pretty well.....with the bumpers and other thing!

6. Here's a picture of her bowling.
7. It was SO nice to see Aunt Connie again. As I said before, it was 3.5 years since the last time she was here. She looks exactly the same! I do too considering I was pg the last time she was here too! She did comment on how small I am this time as compared to the last time. Even she's noticing.

8. The plan is to paint the nursery this weekend. I'm NOT at all looking forward to actually painting it, but I'm looking forward very much to the room being put together. So much to do with so little time.

9. This whole being a mom to 2 kids thing is really starting to make me nervous. I don't know why....I think (hope) every woman about to have #2 has the same feelings. It's scary to think of how much life is about to change all over again. Of course, it's a great change, but still scary when you think about it.

10. We're down to 80 days now and it could be even less!

Happy birthday, Mom!

Just wanted to say that I hope you have a wonderful birthday! We had a wonderful time bowling yesterday and wish we could have made it to eat pizza with everyone else. I guess there is always next year though.

Happy birthday! We all love you!

What love looks like in my eyes!

Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I thought I would share with you what love looks like through my eyes. Love is.....

Watching my daughter with her Daddy!

A best friend sandwich!

Marrying my best friend!

Family ~ All family!!

Even our 4 legged family members!

And the ones who are in Dog Heaven.

Being a mom is the BEST kind of love!

12 weeks and counting....the start of the third trimester!

I had my 28 week checkup yesterday. Things are great! I'm measuring right on track and the doctor was concerned about nothing! I took my blood test for gestational diabetes (something they have everyone take), but I don't have the results yet. I think it's pretty unlikely that I would have it, but you never know! Kason had a healthy heart rate of 142 beat per minute...I love hearing that sound. I've done this whole pregnancy thing before, but it just amazes me that I am able to grow another human being inside of me. It REALLY is a miracle.

I'm starting the third trimester now. For anyone who doesn't know, you have 3 trimesters of pregnancy. This is the home stretch! I'm really proud of myself because I have only gained 8 pounds total. BIG change from when I was pregnant with Kenley....I think I was up about 25-30 pounds at this point with her! I start seeing the doctor every 2 weeks now, for 4 visits, and then I'll start every week. So far this pregnancy is flying by. I can't believe my baby could be here in as little as 9-10 weeks. It's quite possible considering I had Kenley 2 weeks early. Let's hope the rest of the pregnancy goes as smoothly as it has so far. We'll be holding little Kason in our hands before we know it!

Wordless Wednesday

Ok, so I'm explaining this one..... A couple of weeks ago we went to the Rockbridge vs. Hickman basketball game. Kenley LOVES to go to games and she loves to watch the cheerleaders and dancers. Uncle Josh's girlfriend is a "bruin girl" (dancer) and Kenley just loves her. This is a video of the two of them dancing after the game was over. I think it's cute!

10 on Tuesday

1. My great aunt Connie is in town from New Hampshire (???) for 6 weeks and I'm SO excited to see her. The last time she was here I was pregnant with Kenley, so it's been over 3 years ago. She's never met Kenley, so I'm sure she's looking forward to that! I know we are all thrilled that she's here!

2. The reason aunt Connie is here isn't a great one though....She came into town so that she can attend the funeral for my great uncle Jr, her brother. Jr lives in Tennessee, so Connie, my mom, and one of her brothers will be driving to TN for the funeral. It's a sad time for a visit, but everyone knows that Uncle Jr. is in a better place now.

3. My 'nesting' stage has already begun! I've been going to town on things around the house. Now, if we could only get Kason's room painted so that I can do more in there!

4. The paint has been purchased, now it's all about finding the time to paint it!

5. So much to do in so little time. That's the way I'm feeling. I'm almost 28 weeks pregnant (out of a normal 40 weeks) and 12 weeks just really isn't all that long when you think about it. Especially considering I had Kenley 2 weeks early and you just never know when your baby will arrive. It could happen anytime, you know?

6. We had a nice night out with friends on Friday. We got to hang out with Kim, Micah, and Micki (who I haven't seen in about a year and a half) and had a great time. It was really nice to see old friends and have a dinner without having to cut up someone else's food!

7. Monday is my moms birthday! We are going bowling on Sunday to hang out with everyone. Kenley hasn't ever been bowling before and in fact, I'm not even sure if she knows what it is. Should be interesting!!

8. Could the day be any longer?

9. 87 days to go!

10. How come more people aren't entering guesses about when Kason will arrive. I thought it would be fun, but only if people PARTICIPATE!!!

FOUR

I was tagged on this, so here's my take!

1. Go to wherever you keep digital photographs on your computer, and click on the fourth folder.
2. Post the fourth picture in the fourth folder.
3. Describe what is happening in the picture.
4. Tag four people to do the same.

In this picture: Madison, Kylie, and Kenley. We were getting ready to go to "Dinner with Disney"...a fundraiser for a theater company in Jefferson City. There were TONS of Disney characters there, including all of the Disney Princesses and you were encouraged to dress up like a princess or your favorite Disney character. Of course, these girls wanted to dress up like the princesses they think they are! We ended up having a FABULOUS time and the girls were all star struck about meeting all of the princesses in person. I'd definitely go to this again!
I'm tagging: Angie G, Amanda B, Kelly G, and Libby R....Don't spoil the fun, girls!

10 on Tuesday

1. 94 days! It's really starting to feel like I'm in the home stretch now!

2. I don't feel like Kason ever stops moving! It seems like he's moving 24/7....I hope this is no indication of what things will be like when he's here! I hope he'll sleep some too!

3. The bedding is here now, but I still need to pick out paint colors. Did you know there are about 40,000 shades of blue to choose from? Why does this part have to be so hard?

4. I've also washed almost all of the clothes that we have! Kason already has a closet and drawers that are full of clothes, thanks to some wonderful people who gave us their hand me downs!

5. I finally have all the things to hang on Kenley's wall to complete her 'big girl' room (except window treatments), but still haven't done it. Maybe this weekend.

6. I was thinking, since I'm selling all of Kenley's old clothes I don't know what we'll do if #3 is a girl! I guess I should say IF there is a #3.....we'll see in a few years.

7. Kenley is such a GIRL! It's not even funny. She loves all things girl.....painted fingernails, dress up clothes, cheerleaders, princesses, hair bows, and dresses. She cracks me up.

8. Moms birthday is coming up. We're planning a family bowling trip celebrate. Kenley has never been bowling, so it should be fun to watch her.

9. Can you believe it's February already?

10. Justin and I are planning a nice night out for Valentine's day this year. We are going to Longhorn to eat and then plan on catching a movie. Sounds like a great date night to me!
