10 on Tuesday!

  1. I didn't have Internet at home last week, so there was no 10 on Tuesday. We're all moved in now and our new house is feeling more like home everyday!
  2. Happy late birthday to my mom, Linda! Her birthday was last Wednesday and I meant to post a birthday message for her, but as I said before, I didn't have Internet and had no time to do it at work. So, Happy birthday to the best mom in the whole wide world!
  3. Moving was a huge job. I never realized how much stuff we have!! It took us all day on Friday and then a few hours on both Saturday and Sunday. We moved everything into the garage and then have been moving it into the house as we go. The garage is almost empty now!!
  4. We also bought new furniture, which I LOVE, and it has made the house feel more like home. We went from Friday-Wednesday without furniture or TV. That was interesting!!
  5. The kids settled in much easier than I expected. They spent the weekend with my mom so that we could get things together easier. The first night they spent in the house was just like any other night. They slept great and we haven't had any issues at all.
  6. The dogs have been a different story though. Since we didn't have a fence when we moved in, the adjustment was hard for the boys. They have never been on a rope before and they didn't really know what to think about it. They wouldn't pee or poop on that rope and we couldn't just let them out in the yard since we were afraid they would run off. We had to take them over to Justin's parent's house once a day to let them run around/poop in their backyard. Good news is that the fence was finished yesterday. So much easier now!
  7. I am still hunting for an area rug. I need at least a 6X9 and one that doesn't cost a fortune. If anyone runs across something, let me know!
  8. We've been completely exhausted for the last 12 days. With the move and all of the stuff that comes with it, we haven't had a chance to just sit down and chill out. We need that. Soon.
  9. Spring is just 26 days away, but who's counting anyways??
  10. That also means that I have just 22 days until I turn 30! YIKES!!

10 on Tuesday!

  1. Where to start? Where to start? There has been a lot going on the last 2 weeks!
  2. Blizzard, Snowpacalypse, whatever you want to call it! Whew, more than 17 inches of snow in one day. That was crazy! Justin shoveled the driveway more times than I can count! I really just wish that it would all melt away! When is it going to be Spring???
  3. One good thing about the Blizzard of 2011 is that I got 3 'snow days' off from work. It was nice to get to stay home with Justin and the kids while he had a snow day. I only worked a half day on Monday and then not again until yesterday. It sure was hard to come back to work!
  4. Friday was not a snow day, but Kenley was sick. Out of nowhere she started to complain that her stomach hurt in the middle of the night. I was laying in her bed and she started to throw up.....all over her bed. Ugh! That continued until mid-morning, throwing up, dry heaving...she couldn't even keep watch down. Around lunchtime she said she was hungry and had some toast and a banana. She kept that down and then started to feel much better. No clue what she had, but I am thankful that no one else got it and that it was pretty short lived!
  5. So I got an estimate on getting my truck repaired. Remember that Justin got rear-ended a couple weeks ago? If you look at it, you probably wouldn't noticed that anything is wrong with it, however, it has over $1100 in damages! We'll be getting a new bumper and some touch up paint starting on March 1. It will take 3-4 days, they say, so thank God we are getting a rental for that time. I'm glad the guy had good insurance!
  6. This Friday is closing day and moving day!! Don't even ask me how stressed out I have been lately. Things have been crazy and I can't even tell you how happy I am that things will finally start to settle down.
  7. Thank you to my mom and my sister for helping me out last night. My sister, Missy, came over to help me pack. My mom took all four of the kids to McDonald's for dinner and to play so that we could get lots of packing done. We did! Thanks again!
  8. Kason has started to say "love you", except it doesn't really sound much like 'love you'. It sounds like 'nah new'. So cute and it melts my heart every time I hear him say it.
  9. Can I just say that I hate furniture shopping too! We have been looking for new furniture and it is so stressful! We've been to every furniture store in Columbia at least a few times and I think they probably know us by name now. That or they call Justin 'the tape measure guy' because we have been measuring furniture to make sure it will fit in our new living room!
  10. I'll end with this....if I NEVER buy another house again, it will be too soon!
