Not So Wordless Wednesday!

I know, I know......it's been a long time since I updated. The truth is that things have been crazy both at home and at work! The couple of months before the students return is my busiest time of the year and this year, I lost my student worker who was a great helper! At home we have been trying to spend some time with the kids before football and school starts, so I wasn't around the computer much.

Football started last week. We hardly saw Justin at all. He left as we were leaving, was home in the afternoon, then was leaving again as soon as we got home. Then I was going to bed just as he was getting at night! That week of two-a-day practices is always hard! He started back with school meetings and stuff this week, so football is more scheduled and routine. The first game is next Friday!!

Kenley is starting kindergarten TOMORROW!! I can't believe it! She's been very excited for the last couple of weeks. We went to the school last night to meet her teacher, Mrs. Cameron, and see her classroom. It's an awesome classroom with a bathroom right in it and little lockers instead of cubbies! I was hoping that she would get Mrs. Cameron because I heard so many wonderful things about her. She is a little older than the other kindergarten teachers and I think that will be a great thing for my strong willed/hard headed girl! LOL. Today has been a little bittersweet for her though.....it was her last day of preschool! Although she's thrilled to be starting school, she's a little sad that she won't see her friends anymore! Tonight we will pick out school clothes, get the backpack ready, pack the lunch and get ready for the BIG day tomorrow. I bet you are wondering if I am going to cry......the answer is MOST DEFINITELY! I just hope I can hold it together until after I leave the building!

Another BIG milestone is happening this week! Kason is starting preschool! He'll be taking Kenley's spot at Little Miracles! He will be going there all day on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I know with all of my heart that he NEEDS this, but it's scary! It's great that he is already somewhat familiar with Little Miracles, it's just nerve wracking to think about nap time, playing outside with all of the big kids, eating what is served, etc. I know he'll be fine. HE WILL BE FINE and learn SO much! How are both of my babies old enough to be in 'school' now?

PS: Happy 35th birthday to my big sister, Christy!
