No 10 on Tuesday today
I'm just back from Kansas City for my great Uncle Woody's funeral. It was a very nice service all around and the preacher was great. Since Uncle Woody was a WWII vet, the Honor Guard was there and did the whole military funeral thing...including the firing of the rifles and playing "Taps" on the trumpet. I did really well considering I'm pretty overly emotional right now, but I lost it when they started playing Taps and it continued until the finished folding the flag and presenting it to his sons. We were able to get together at my cousin's house afterwards for a couple hours as well. It was really nice to visit with some family that i don't get to see as often as I'd like to.
RIP Uncle Woody....You will be missed.

Kason's nursery is finished too!!
Finally!! There is only one thing missing from this room. I've ordered a wall sticker, similar to the ones on Kason's and Kenley's walls with their names, and I'm waiting for it to come. It's a quote about sports and will hang right above the crib. I'll post a picture of it once I get it. Everything else is done and ready for our little man to make his arrival! Could be any day now!!

10 on Tuesday
1. I am extremely tired today. Kenley was up last night for a while and then slept in bed with Justin and I for a short time. I never sleep well when she's in my bed, so I've basically been awake since 3 am. I WILL be going to bed early tonight....I always say that but it never happens.
2. I finally finished Kenley's room....it's about time, right? I'll be finishing Kason's nursery as soon as I have the energy to get in there. I honestly don't have much left to do. Pictures to come in the next day or 2 :)
3. I just found out that a friend from high school has cancer, again. He's been through this once already and it's come back again. The tumors are so close to his spine that they aren't sure if they will be able to do much for them. I can't imagine what he and his family are going through. He's only 28 and it's just NOT fair to him or his family....especially his 3 year old daughter. I'm really praying for you Bill.
4. My great Uncle Woody is not doing well at all. He's 86 years old and has had a great life though, so there isn't a need for him to suffer any longer. I found out today that he is now in a coma so I really don't believe it will be much longer. It will be hard for all of my family, but especially my mom and uncles who have been taking care of him for years.
5. Ok, so sorry for those downer posts but that's what has been on my mind for the last couple of days. On to the fun stuff!
6. I have another doctor appointment in the morning. We are down to the time where I start going every single week. This is my second weekly appointment. I hope she'll tell me that I'm making a little progress, but I guess we'll see.
7. My sister had her baby shower on Saturday. It was fun and she got some great stuff as well. Kenley had a great time seeing all the kids and had much fun running around playing with them.
8. Speaking of my sister....she might beat me to delivery, even though she is due 4 weeks after me. She's been in pre term labor 2 times now and has been having regular contractions. She's even got some progress happening which is more than I can say!
9. I can't believe that I have just over 3 weeks left until my due date. 10 months is a LONG TIME to be pregnant for and May 8th seemed like forever away when we first found out. It's just around the corner now and that is crazy! Only 24 (or less) days to go!
10. I feel like I'm writing to myself most weeks because I hardly ever have comments from anyone. If you are reading my blog, leave me a comment. I know that people are reading and I want to know who you are!!

Kenley's big girl bedroom!
Kenley moved into her big girl room back in December, but it's been a work in progress since then. I finally finished the whole room and it turned out very cute! The only thing that I still want to do is find new curtains, but that's not too big a deal. I'm just glad I finally found the stuff to go on the walls and I can say it's done. It's a small room, so it's hard to take very good pictures....
Don't worry.....pictures of the nursery are coming too. I have to put a couple things away and then I'll take some pictures in there!

10 on Tuesday
1. I'm sorry there was no 10 on Tuesday last week. The week got away from me and then I was too tired to go back and do it.
2. Thank you to everyone at work for all the great gifts at the baby shower. It means a lot to me that I work with so many wonderful people. Thank you to everyone who put the shower together as well. It was a great time and I enjoyed it very much.
3. Just when I get everything put away in the nursery, I get more stuff :) I'm not complaining about this! I just need to find more places to put things.
4. Speaking of the nursery...it will be complete very soon and I promise I will post pictures. I've been waiting for the last wall hangings to arrive by mail so I can finish up. I'll take a picture when it's totally complete. I can't wait.
5. Less than 5 weeks until my due date and boy am I ready. I DONE being pregnant....I just want to hold my baby in my arms. He's getting too heavy to be in my belly. I'm not sleeping well and I'm getting to the stage of being cranky now.
6. I have my 36 week checkup tomorrow. This is the first of my weekly doctor appointments. I'll start seeing Dr. Womack a lot now, but I like her, so that's ok by me. I've been having lots of pain and contractions so I'm thinking that I'm making a little progress. I hope she'll check me out to see....I'm hoping that Kason will be making his arrival in the next 2 weeks. I'm trying not to get my hopes up though.
7. The Guessing Game ~ If you haven't made your guess as to when Kason will arrive, you better do it soon. You can also guess weight, length, and time of birth. It's all for fun, but there will be winners in each category. To vote, click on the 'storknet' square on the top right side of this blog.
8. Kenley had her first slumber party at her Auntie Christy's house on Saturday. Kylie stayed over too and they colored and decorated Easter Eggs. They all had a great time, even though Kenley woke up crying a few times in the night. I kind of expected that though...she was in a strange place.
9. My sister's baby shower is Saturday. I'm looking forward to it. We shopped last weekend and got her a bunch of great gifts.
10. 31 days to go. I can't believe it is so close.

No 10 today. I'm just back from Kansas City for my great uncle "Woody's" funeral and I just don't feel like a post today. The funeral was nice and the preacher was great. Since Uncle Woody was a WWII vet, they had the honor guard there and did the whole firing of the rifles and playing of "Taps" on the trumpet. I was doing pretty well, despite being hugely pregnant and overly emotional, until the playing of Taps. I pretty much lost it at that moment and it continued as they folded the flag and presented it to his sons. We had a nice gathering at my cousin's house after the funeral wrapped up. It was really nice to spend some time with all my family that I don't see as often as I'd like. RIP Uncle Woody. You will be missed!
