10 on Tuesday

1. No 10 on Tuesday or Wordless Wednesday last week! The week got away from me and I was trying to savor the time home with my kiddos!

2. My first day back to work was pretty good...a little rough on me though.

3. We stained our deck over the weekend. Let me just tell you how much fun that was....can you sense the sarcasm??? We got the deck finished, but still have the fence and some landscaping timbers to go.

4. Justin and I went to see the movie "The Hangover" for our anniversary a couple weeks ago. If you haven't seen it, you should! It was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen! I would go see it again in a heartbeat!

5. I'm so excited for the 4th of July! We have plans to go to my sister's house on Friday for a big celebration and then to Justin's parents on the 4th. We normally go to Fire in the Sky, but we are going to skip it this year. Both celebrations that we are going to will have huge displays and we won't have to fight all the traffic!

6. Speaking of July 4th, here are a couple of pictures from last July 4th! Look how much Kenley has changed. She went from a toddler to a little girl :)

7. We are planning our annual float trip for July 18th. It's a ton of fun every year and I can't wait! We (Justin and I) have been planning this float trip for 10 years now!

8. This year is also our 10th year out of high school! I can't believe that it's been 10 years. We will be attending our 10 year class reunions this summer/fall.

9. I got an iud (intrauterine device) last week. If you don't know what it is, it's a form of birth control that lasts 5 years. It can be taken out anytime, if we were to decide to have more children though. Since we are on the fence about having a third, this was a good option for me.

10. Thank goodness for a short work week and a three day weekend!!!

Happy 2 month birthday, Kason!

It was such a crazy day today, with me going back to work, that I wasn't able to get a picture of my boy until after his bath. He was a tired boy, so he was sleeping. These aren't the greatest pictures, but look how big he's getting and look at that sweet face. I just want to kiss it all day long.
I took Kason to the doctor last week for his 2 month checkup. He weighed a whopping 10 pounds, 5 ounces (45% for his age) and was 22.5 inches long (55%)! He's a growing boy, that's for sure. He was down to 6 pounds, 5 ounces shortly after his birth so he's gained 4 whole pounds! I'm not surprised though, he eats like a champ!! One of my favorite things about this age is that he smiles all the time. I love it so much when he looked at me and gives me a huge grin!

On another note, I went back to work today :( I can't believe how fast those 8 weeks flew by. It seems like it was only a couple weeks! My first day back went well. It was nice to see everyone here at work. I'd be lying if I said that I wouldn't rather stay at home with my kids, but the reality is that I have to work....so it was nice to get back into the swing of things, I guess!

Cute little baby cousins!!

As you know, my sister had a baby just 3 weeks and 5 days after I had Kason. Now we have a baby boy and a baby girl in the family. A couple weeks ago we got together at my mom's house to visit with my aunt and uncle who were in town and we got some pictures of the babies together.
Kason looks like a giant compared to Olivia in this picture, but he's really not that much bigger than her!
WHOA!! Houston, we need some help!
The whole crew (minus our big sister :)) Me, Kason, Kenley, Kylie, Missy, and Olivia.

Father's Day

We enjoyed a very nice day so far. Kason slept all night last night and went right back to sleep, then we ALL slept until 10am. Kenley has had a fever and hasn't been feeling well for a couple of days, so she's been sleeping with us. Justin loved his present (headphones with ipod compatibility for mowing) and fixed us all a great breakfast. We hung out at home for a little while, then went to Mike and Sherri's to celebrate Father's Day there too. Here are a couple pictures of our day.Justin and his kids!

5 years later!

We had a great date night, last night! We enjoyed having dinner at Lornhorn Steakhouse, which happens to be one of our favorite restaurants, then enoyed watching The Hangover. It was a GREAT movie...SO FUNNY!!! It's been a long time since we went out to dinner and a movie by ourselves. Here is a picture that we took right before we went to dinner.
We came home to find out that Kenley had a high fever (103.8) and wasn't feeling well. She slept with us and was tossing and turning all night. She's been taking Motrin every four hours and her fever is down now. I hope she's not getting something!

Happy 5th anniversary, Justin!!!

5 years ago I married my best friend. We were a young 23 years old, but I knew that Justin was my prince charming. I was madly in love with him that day and little did I know that I would fall more and more in love with him everyday. I'm happier today than I was on this day and I am SO thankful for that. I love you, Justin. Thank you for making me the happiest girl in the world!! Happy 5th anniversary!!

10 on Tuesday

1. Happy birthday, Allyson!!!

2. Happy early birthday, Amy!!

3. I am sore! I started working out a couple weeks ago and I have been totally sore since I started!

4. I got my dress for Allyson's wedding and I'm surprised that it fits! I wasn't sure about them when I first saw the pictures of them, but I really liked it when I was on. Kenley has her dress also and looks so cute in it!
5. Kason has been sleeping really great lately. I hope he starts sleeping through the night soon!

6. We finally have set a date for our float trip and I'm excited to go! We've been going on a float trip now for 10 years!! Some are big, some are small, but we always have a great time!

7. I'm taking Kenley to see the Disney movie "Up" today. We were supposed to go to the Dairy farm with her preschool, but it was cancelled from the rain. We are both excited to have a little date today!

8. Speaking of rain, it's crazy how much rain we have gotten in the past couple of days. I'm talking like 5 inches of rain. Our backyard is SO muddy.

9. Justin's family ~ 4 generations....I didn't get a great picture, hope Sherri's was better!
10. Look at that cute little smile!!!

10 on Tuesday

1. Kason slept from 10-5 last night!!! I went to bed a little later, but still got a whole 6 hours of sleep in one stretch! I feel so refreshed today :)

2. Kenley started swimming lessons last week and loved it. It was so much fun to watch her play with her friends in the swimming pool!

3. Next Tuesday I am going on a field trip with the preschool. We are going to the dairy farm. I haven't been to a dairy farm since I was very young. Kenley will love it, so I'm really excited to be able to do something with her while I'm off work still.

4. Speaking of being off work....I have to go back on June 29th. I can't believe that I only have 2.5 weeks of maternity leave left. The time is flying by.

5. Kason will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. Again, the time is flying by.

6. We are finally getting Kason's pictures taken tomorrow. We will have some pictures of the whole family and some of just Kason. I'll have the girls at Stella Studios make up a super cute birth announcement as well. I really need to get those mailed out soon.

7. It's been so nice having Justin home now. It's really nice to be able to spend some time together, all of us.

8. Justin isn't teaching right now, but he's still working. He started up the mowing business again, so that keeps him busy. He will continue to stay busy until the grass stops growing. It's nice to have that extra money!

9. I feel like all I ever do right now is laundry. I hate that it multiplies so quickly.

10. I'm going to get a quote for a cleaning person. I would love to pay someone to come and clean every other week. My life is going to be WAY too busy once I get back to work. Let's hope it's not too expensive, so that Justin will let me hire them!

10 on Tuesday

1. We lost a friend today. Janet has been fighting cancer for at least 4 years, but early this morning she lost her battle and went to live in Heaven. We know that she is in a better place now and that she is not suffering any longer. We will miss Janet and are thinking and praying for her family.

2. Is today over yet?

3. I'm an idiot...I went to walmart today and when I was getting ready to pay I realized that I didn't have my wallet. It was sitting on the kitchen table where I left it after paying bills this morning. Luckily, they had my bill and stuff at the customer service desk so I could run home and get my wallet. Good thing I live close!

4. Today is Justin's last day of school!!! YAY!! I'm happy that we will be able to spend some time together before I go back to work.

5. I have my post partum check up tomorrow. I'm excited to see my doctor, but I can't believe that Kason is 5 weeks old already!

6. It rained cats and dogs here this evening. I couldn't believe how hard it was raining. It was totally insane!

7. I started working out yesterday. Let me tell you how out of shape I am. It kicked my butt, big time! Today's workout was fun though!

8. We are supposed to get pictures taken on Thursday, but I'm not sure if we are able to. Justin has a bunch of stuff going on this week with football, so we may need to reschedule.

9. Kenley is starting swimming lessons on Thursday. I'm SO excited! She'll be doing the lessons and swim time with her preschool, so she'll have friends there too.

10. Congratulations to our good friends, Chris and Richelle, who are expected their first child on January 20, 2010.
